Sponsor Spotlight: Rapid Prototyping Services
Rapid Prototyping Services brings CAD files and design ideas to life using Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM). Test fit, form, and function – and as many design iterations as you like – with functional plastic models made out of the following materials: ABS, ABS-ESD7, NYLON-12, POLYCARBONATE, PC/ABS BLEND, ULTEM 9085 and POLYPHENYLSULFONE.
For those new to the prototyping, Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is unlike any other layer-based manufacturing method. While the majority rely on lasers or light to cure layers of resin or printing technology to solidify material, FDM uses a heated tip to incrementally deposit layers of molten ABS, which is fed into the system from cartridges of filament. Making a model out of different colors to highlight different parts of an assembly is possible.
Our degreed Mechanical Engineers also offer design services using the latest versions of 3D CAD Software. We can provide secondary operations on your RP model such as painting, machining, installing threaded inserts, and assembly. Learn more about Rapid Prototyping Services at http://rapidps.com/.
