SUMMARY:SME 2025 Student Scholarship
DESCRIPTION:These scholarships provide dedicated and deserving students with additional funding to assist in their studies to pursue an education in the technical fields that directly support manufacturing. \nScholarships in the following amounts will be awarded: \n\nSecondary Education: $1\,900 first place\, $1300 second place\, $600 third place\nPost-secondary Education: $1\,900 first place\, $1300 second place\, $600 third place\n\nStudent Eligibility: \n\nSME Member in good standing (member number)\nHigh School or College/University/Technical Institute Student\n500 minimum to 600 maximum word essay\nState of Florida resident or residing in Florida while attending a Florida school or member of a SME Chapter 159 sponsored SME Student Chapter\nMinimum GPA of 2.5 (unweighted) on a 4.0 scale\nAcademic reference\n\nApplicants must also plan to pursue a career in a manufacturing or related engineering field of study that directly supports manufacturing. \nInterested and qualified applicants should apply at Eventbrite before 11:30 PM EST on November 15\, 2025. In 500-600 words\, describe your personal experiences which shaped your interest in the manufacturing and/or engineering field.
