DESCRIPTION:6th Annual STEM Professional Association Event \nMiddleton High School (http://middleton.mysdhc.org)\, a Pre-Collegiate STEM Academy\, Stewart Middle Magnet School and Young Middle Magnet School would like to invite you to our 6th annual “STEM Professional Association Event” from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday\, March 24th\, 2016. \nThis event is held on an annual basis to connect Tampa Bay area students\, parents\, educators and professionals in order to promote student interest in science\, technology\, engineering and math (STEM) careers. Organizations invited to this years event are: \n\n\nAmerican Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)\n\nAmerican Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)\, USF Student Chapter\n\nAmerican Society for Quality (ASQ)\n\n\nBay Area Association of Medical Instrumentation (BAAMI)\n\n\nBay Area Manufacturers Association (BAMA)\n\n\nBrewster Technical College\, Industrial Machinery Maintenance Program\n\n\nFlorida Advanced Technological Education Center (FLATE)\n\nFlorida Medical Manufacturers Consortium (FMMC)\nFlorida Trade Advanced Manufacturing\nInstitute of Industrial Engineers (IIE)\, USF Student Chapter\nMuseum of Science and Industry (MOSI)\n\nNational Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)\, USF Student Chapter\n\n\nSociety of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)\, USF Student Chapter\n\n\nSociety of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Tampa Bay\n\n\nSociety of Women Engineers (SWE)\n\n\nSurface Mount Technology Association (SMTA)\n\nTampa Bay Technology Forum (TBTF)\nUpper Tampa Bay Manufacturers Association (UTBMA)\nWomen In Defense (WID)\, Greater Tampa Bay Chapter\n\n  \n \nMiddleton’s Electrathon Car\, powered only by commercial rechargeable batteries weighing no more than 73 pounds\, designed and built by students will be on display. \nOur guest speaker is Dr. Nancee Sorenson\, President\, Brandon Campus\, Hillsborough Community College. \n  \n \nA robotics demonstration will be conducted by Middleton High School robotics club students (http://middletonrobotics.com)\, winners of the 2012 World FTC Robotics Championship and 2012\, 2013 and 2014 Florida State FTC Robotics Championships! \n  \nHere is the evening’s agenda: \n5:00 – 5:30 Check-In / Networking / Refreshments\n5:30 – 5:45 Welcome / Announcements\n5:45 – 6:15 STEM Presentation / Q&A\n6:15 – 6:45 Robotics Demonstration\n6:45 – 7:00 Honors & Awards \nThis STEM event will take place at Middleton Magnet High School\, 4801 North 22nd Street\, Tampa\, FL 33610 in the Media Center\, located on the second floor of Administration Building 100.
