SUMMARY:SME 2015 Engineering Leadership Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Learn the Engineering Laws of Leadership!  At the team and project level\, engineers must be able to incorporate leadership and managerial concepts into their work to enhance the performance of their work group. \n \nWhile many organizations pay attention to the development of key managerial talent\, they often overlook the development of their technical leaders.  Leadership at the team amd project levels is as critical as leadership activities at the program and business-unit levels.  Yet in most organizations\, these needs go unmet. \nLike them or not\, the laws of leadership govern your personal and organizational effectiveness. There isn’t any part of your organization or life that leadership doesn’t affect. Whether its leadership of self\, leadership of others\, or leadership of leaders\, it applies to everything. If you think about it\, strong leadership is at the heart of every human achievement. \nBased on “The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership” book by New York Times best-selling author Dr. John C. Maxwell\, you will learn how: \n\nPersonnel determine the potential of the organization\nRelationships determine the morale of the organization\nStructure determines the size of the organization\nVision determines the direction of the organization\nLeadership determines the success of the organization\n\nWe will also assess your leadership areas of strength and weaknesses\, and develop a personal growth plan during the workshop. You will learn how everything rises and falls on leadership. \nOur workshop facilitator is Kim D.
