APICS Tampa Bay Lean Workshop

APICS Tampa Bay invites all local supply chain, operations management, transportation and logistics professionals to our “To be Lean (or Not?)” workshop on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, 101 West State Street, Oldsmar, FL 34677.
This one day workshop is structured to provide an interactive environment to discuss “The Master Plan for Implementing Lean” and the many ramifications that can happen during implementation. In addition to providing a road map for implementation, some specific Lean elements as follows will be discussed:
- Value stream mapping
- Pull systems
- Backflushing
- 5-S’s
- Lean culture
Some questions answered in this workshop are:
- Is lean different than JIT?
- Will Lean work in any business?
- How to get started with Lean?
- What are some specific Lean techniques that can be applied easily and quickly?
- Is your Lean implementation progressing or stuck?
- Does Lean work with MRP?
